Pathway to offer 401(k) match program, more

Pathway Vet Alliance, a leading national veterinary management group serving pets and their parents throughout the U.S., is expanding their employee benefits package to include a company-funded 401(k) match for the first time and more cutting-edge offerings, the company announced.

Feedback from our team members is paramount and is driving many key changes in our employee total reward offerings. In our most recent survey of employees, a 401(k) program was by far the most desired employee benefit,” said Andrea Clayton, Chief People Officer of Pathway Vet Alliance. “Well, today we are beyond thrilled to share that our team members’ feedback was instrumental in being able to launch our new 401(k)-match program.”

According to Clayton, employees will be able to participate in the 401(k) match beginning on January 1, 2021 and will be eligible for a 25 percent Pathway match up to four percent of their eligible pay.

In addition to the 401(k) match program, Pathway team members also provided input on the importance of family care supportan employee assistance program that understands the unique issues of the veterinary industry and, finally, a desire for Pathway to advance inclusion efforts in their benefit programs. This in mind, Pathway announced further comprehensive upgrades to their employee benefits package, including recently launched family care benefits through Bright Horizons, a veterinary-specific employee assistance program called SupportLinc, a comprehensive fertility partner through Carrot, which offers nationwide family-forming counseling and clinical discounts to expand upon the company’s inclusive, 8-week paid parental leave policy, and a student loan education and refinancing program through Tuition.io.

These new enhancements join other updates to health benefits, including employee premium decreases on dental and vision options, discounts on pet services and much more.

“Our goal is to take care of our team members the way they take care of the pets we serve,” said Clayton. “Our people are so passionate about caring for pets and their community of pet parents, and we hope these new enhancements help convey we care just as passionately about them.”

According to Clayton, Pathway also plans to soon announce an additional education program, which provides tuition reimbursement for those who are selected to participate.
