Pathway makes Inc. 500 for 2nd year in a row, climbs above 300 locations

Pathway Vet Alliance, a leading national veterinary management group serving pets and their parents throughout the U.S., announced Wednesday the company has been ranked in the Inc. 500 for the second year in a row and the Inc. 5,000 for more than three years running.

Inc. magazine’s annual Inc. 5000, is a list of the fastest-growing privately held companies in the U.S.

This year, the Austin-based veterinary hospital group claimed number 431 on the 2020 Inc. 5000 ranking, with a three-year revenue growth of 1,065 percent. Pathway previously debuted on the list in 2018 at number 1,094, on the list, and last year Pathway was ranked 427.

“We are extremely proud of this tremendous milestone, and it would not have been possible without our entire team’s hard work and dedication,” said Stephen Hadley, DVM and CEO of Pathway Vet Alliance. “While 2020 has been a tumultuous year for many, we’ve adapted and overcome unprecedented changes in our environment, and will continue to do so to ensure we provide the best possible care for the pets we serve and their loved ones who care about them.”

In addition to being featured in the Inc. 5,000, Pathway also announced that the company has added 59 hospitals in the first half of 2020, surpassing the 300th location milestone and adding more than 1,000 team members to Pathway’s national roster.

“Adding more locations not only provides peace of mind for pet parents across the country, but it further increases mobility and advancement opportunities for our team members,” Hadley said.

Founded in 2003 as a single veterinary practice, Pathway has grown both organically and through acquisition. Pathway’s hospitals now provide best-in-class veterinary care to pets and their parents in 37 states.

Since 2017, Pathway has led the industry in growth by adding over 270 hospitals and more than 7,500 employees to its national network, bringing its total number of hospitals to more than 300.

Not only have the companies on the 2020 Inc. 5000 been very competitive within their markets, but the list as a whole shows staggering growth compared with prior lists as well. The 2020 Inc. 5000 achieved an incredible three-year average growth of over 500 percent, and a median rate of 165 percent. The Inc. 5000’s aggregate revenue was $209 billion in 2019, accounting for over 1 million jobs over the past three years.
