Pathway Vet Alliance encourages its veterinary hospitals to donate ventilators to hospitals nationwide
Pathway Vet Alliance announced Thursday amid the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the company is encouraging all Pathway-owned veterinary hospitals to donate their ventilators to nearby human hospitals in need.
Pathway, a leading national veterinary management group serving pets and their parents in the U.S., has over 275 general practice, specialty and emergency veterinary hospitals throughout the country. Not all locations have ventilators, but many do.
“Part of our responsibility as veterinarians is to contribute to the improvement of human and public health, and every day during this difficult time we are looking for ways in which we can help our human hospital counterparts,” said Bob Murtaugh, DVM, MS, DACVIM, DACVECC, Chief Medical Officer of Pathway. “We understand that access to ventilators remains one of the nation’s greatest challenges, and hope that by taking this action, other veterinary hospitals follow suit to help their local communities.”
Most Pathway locations will continue to remain open to treat pets during this time. For more information on Pathway locations, please visit our locations page.
